ScholarsNEXT is a student run event that provides students an opportunity to share their ideas about solving real-world problems to the College Park Scholars and the University of Maryland community. All of these projects inspire a shift in thinking by sharing unconventional ways of resolving everyday problems. Student presentations explore a variety of ideas, from music in the community, to the correlation between watercolor painting and mathematics, to the creative process that generates a groundbreaking idea. They will present their speeches in a way that aims to educate, inspire, and engage the audience. While all of these presentations vary in their specific points, they all share the common theme of approaching a problem from a fresh perspective.
We would like to thank the UMD SGA and the Office of Undergraduate Studies for supporting this event. We would also like to extend a sincere thanks to College Park Scholars for making this event possible, and for giving students the opportunity to share their ideas to the community.
